Cruise Speed has been developed to allow Traffic Engineers to carry out traffic speed surveys using their mobile device. The app captures cruise times and calculates various statistics. These can then be saved to a file on the device and uploaded to a Dropbox account.
Statistics calculated:
• Average (Mean) Speed
• Min Speed
• Max Speed
• 5th, 15th and 85th Percentile Speeds
• Standard Deviation
Requested Permissions:
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - To save completed surveys to phone memory.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - To read saved surveys from phone memory to copy to Dropbox.
• INTERNET - To allow completed surveys to be uploaded to Dropbox.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - To allow completed surveys to be uploaded to Dropbox.
